IT’S TIME TO SPEAK UP ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE
OREGON CAN DO MORE!
TELL THE LEGISLATURE WE CARE

The Oregon Legislature is considering two bills that would limit the burning of fossil fuels in our state AND help Oregon transition to cleaner energy. You can help these bills move forward when the House Energy and Environment Committee meets this coming Tuesday, April 14.

Contact your State Representative to let him or her know you support HB 3470 (the Climate Stability and Justice Act of Oregon – Cap and Allocation) and HB 3250 (Carbon Cap and Dividend). Tell them to support passage of these critical bills when the Committee meets on Tuesday at 3pm.

The job of our legislators in Salem is to help Oregon and Oregonians have a cleaner, more sustainable state. These bills will do that: they’ll reduce our use of dirty fossil fuels, and they’ll help Oregonians move to cleaner fuels.

Please call or email your Oregon State Representative and tell him/her:

  1. Why you feel strongly about reducing climate pollution and transitioning to cleaner energy.
  2. To urge their colleagues on the House Energy and Environment Committee to support a policy that will limit green house gas pollution (HB 3470 and HB 3250) this session.
  3. To vote yes for a bill that limits climate pollution when it comes to the floor of the House or Senate this session.

The hearing is at the State Capitol building, Hearing Room D, 3–5 pm, Tuesday, April 14. The public is welcome. This is a Committee Work Session so oral testimony will not be taken. You can email your legislator to express your support for these vital bills for a cleaner, healthier Oregon.
